
Three women allegedly disguised in hijab to steal Ankara fabrics from Oshodi market in Lagos, with one of them managing to escape the scene.
This was revealed in a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), showing two of the women being confronted by market traders who demanded they reveal the identity of their third accomplice.
According to details shared in the post, the women stole about five different Ankara wrappers from a shop that sells clothing materials.
The video also shows them inside the store as traders surround and question them.
During the confrontation, one of the women is asked to remove her hijab disguise, while another is interrogated in English about their actions.
The incident has since sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians taking to the comment section to express shock, disappointment, and frustration over the act.
