A brief moment between French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, drew public attention during their recent visit to the United Kingdom.
As the couple stepped off their plane in West London, President Macron extended his hand to help his wife, but Brigitte chose to use the handrail instead, seemingly ignoring his gesture. Macron then quickly pulled his hand back and turned to greet the Princess of Wales.
Later, the couple was spotted in a car, with Brigitte absorbed in her phone and not interacting with her husband.
The moment reminded many of a similar incident in May when Brigitte was seen pushing her husband’s face aside while they were exiting a plane during their trip to Vietnam.

Emmanuel Macron hit in the face by his wife
A video of French President Emmanuel Macron being slapped in the face by his wife, Brigitte Macron, has gone viral.
The incident reportedly took place aboard the presidential plane shortly before landing in Vietnam, where Macron was beginning a diplomatic tour of Southeast Asia.
In the footage, Macron is seen speaking with Brigitte near the aircraft’s exit when she suddenly reaches out and appears to strike him across the mouth. Macron looks visibly surprised but quickly regains his composure and waves to the waiting press.
