Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface has taken to social media to share the moment he links up with a Nigerian lady who claimed on a podcast that he lacks talent.
Recall that in February 2025, the lady who featured in the episode of Pulse Sport’s Heat podcast, revealed that Victor Boniface is a talentless footballer who only posts memes online and does giveaways.
According to the lady, Victor Boniface, who plays for German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, has not done anything spectacular in his football career and has never won any award.
However, on Sunday June 22nd, 2025, Boniface was among those who came out to grace Troost-Ekong charity football match at the Onikan Stadium in Lagos State.
Present were, Gov Sanwo-Olu, Tochukwu Ojogwu (Odumodublvck), comedian Ayo Makun (AY), actor Samuel Perry (Broda Shaggy), Yhemolee, Mayorkun, Zlatan Ibile, Obafemi Martins, Victor Osimhen, Odion Ighalo, Victor Boniface, Ahmed Musa, John Ogu, Tolu Arokodare, Wilfred Ndidi, Joseph Yobo, Stanley Nwabali, Frank Onyeka, Sikiru Alimi, and Cameroon’s Alex Song and more.
The match ended 7-5, with goals from Alimi (brace), Musa, Boniface, Martins, AY, Odumodublvck, Ndidi, Ideye, and Iheanacho. AY was crowned Man of the Match, while Troost-Ekong lifted the Charity Cup at full-time.
Furthermore, the part that got many people talking online was the moment that perfectly described the common saying “Freedom of speech dey, but freedom after speech, I can’t assure you”.
The young lady was among the sports journalists who came to interview participants at the Troost-Ekong charity football match in Lagos.
Unlike the way she was so buoyant during the interview when she referred to Boniface as talentless, it was contrary this time as she was muted when she met Boniface.
Footballer Boniface decided to mock her as he shared her clip on his Instagram page and accompanied it with the caption, “I dey with the forehead babe.” he also added laughing emojis as well.
