Dee One said; “Do you know that Peller owns the internet space, and he is more relevant than Genevieve Nnaji? Her not posting on social media every time has reduced her brand. Anybody not posting regularly is not top of my list.”

The former BBNaija ex-housemate added with mock curiosity:

“What makes her different from other actresses? Number one, from where?”

According to him, social media visibility—not past achievements—is what truly defines relevance in today’s entertainment industry.

The comments quickly ignited a heated debate online. While some netizens surprisingly agreed with Deeone’s take, many others criticized him for comparing a legendary actress to a content creator whose popularity largely stems from internet trends.

One IG user identified as mee_adors wrote; “Genevieve’ s silence is more relevant than peller’s noise anyday anytime.”

Another one known as smart_dominic1 said;  “Has it gotten to the point where we compare Genevieve to Pellar!?? Ofc Pellar is a great guy!! But the comparison is just disrespectful tbh ❤️”

na_me_be_lui_  commented;  “One big brand ceo told me that skit maker’s and influencers are sorted for basically and only because of their followers… When proper advert is to be considered, they go for pete, Genevieve, omotola why because of pedigree, because of credibility, because of longevity and ability to persuade the other party to make a deal… Deeone knows nothing about entertainment, absolutely nothing, because it will take peller atleast 10 more years to know what Genevieve knows in the board room…”

_charlesborn uttered; “ DEFINE RELEVANCE. That blogs carry you for saying or doing things that have zero bearing to career advancement or global recognition for the work you do (which is what will matter when we are all grey better put LEGACY) doesn’t mean you are more “relevant” than a woman or man whose brand ethos is CLEAR (not on today off tomorrow) and who only busies herself with conversation relating to her job and holds conversations with world leaders and industry moguls about this job. Please let’s or water down what was built when 5G and WiFi was but a dream!!!”

iamkenniajose;  “In the world of marketing scarcity enhances value. The more scarce she is as a result of her legendary status and skill set, the more value she brings to the table. At her level, she needs no top of the mind strategy to be relevant. It’s the difference between Portable and Olamide . One is a noisemaker, the other a people builder.”
