A viral video has sparked reactions after a Nigerian lady revealed that her landlord gifted her money after she had stayed in his house for a year.

Many doubted her claim, finding it unusual for a landlord to give money to a tenant, but she insisted he was a genuinely kind man.

In the TikTok clip shared by @peoplequicktalk, the lady, identified as Ajango Cynthia, explained that she lived in the man’s house during her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year and was treated with kindness.

According to her, when she went for her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), she stayed in a house owned by a kind man.

She said the man was so kind that at the end of her service year, he gave her N2 million. She said that was the first time she got money up to millions, and said it was for free.

Cynthia said she was not the only one who benefitted from the generosity of the landlord as he also did the same thing for other tenants.

When asked how much she paid as rent for the apartment, she said the rent was around N550,000.

In her words; “I made my first million from my landlord. I was a corper and I had moved into an apartment. It was a self-contain. So when I was leaving the apartment after my one year NYSC, the landlord gave me and the other tenants N2 million each. As at that time, (the rent) was N550k for self-contain.

I feel like I didn’t get to appreciate him enough because there is basically no body that will do what he did for us in Nigeria right now. I

want to thank him for his kindness, his generosity, and I wish other landlords would emulate him and show kindness and show love and generosity towards their tenants.”
