An emotional video has surfaced online showing the moment a Nigerian lady broke down in tears after receiving her long-awaited appointment letter from the Civil Service Commission.

According to reports, the lady graduated 18 years ago but had been unable to secure a stable job in all those years. Her story took a turn when she finally got employed by the Civil Service, a development that left her overwhelmed with joy.

In the viral clip, the lady could be seen rolling on the floor, crying uncontrollably as she clutched her appointment letter tightly.

At that moment, the lady became the center of attention in the office as everyone’s eyes were fixed on her. They watched in awe as she stood up, still overwhelmed with emotions, and walked into the office to finally receive her appointment letter.

As expected, the post has attracted massive engagement on X, formerly Twitter. While many users expressed happiness for her breakthrough, others argued that after all she went through before securing the government job, she might turn out to be a tough or even wicked civil servant once she resumes duty.

X influencer Chuks while sharing the video wrote; “Lady tears up and rolls on the floor after collecting her appointment letter at Civil service commission 18 years after she graduated from University 🥺.”

Reaction as lady gets a govt job after 18yrs as a graduate

@naiijacitizen: She is poor mentally, she had 18yrs to move on, what is she doing with govt appointment? How many times did she swear affidavit to change her age? There are profitable businesses out there. In two years she will be fed up with civil service.
