Popular Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, has announced a change of venue for her upcoming attempt to cook the “World’s Largest Pot of Jollof Rice” as she prepares to break the Guinness World Record.
Chef Hilda Baci took to her official page on the photo and video sharing platform, Instagram on Wednesday night, September 10th, 2025 to share the latest development.
The “World largest pot of Jollof Rice” has been moved from Gbagada to the Eko Hotels and Suites at the Victoria Island in Lagos ahead of the main challenge coming up on Friday, September 12th, 2025.
Stating the reason for the change in venue, Hilda Baci stressed that over 20,000 people have already registered to come and that is why Eko Hotel was choose to accomodate those that are coming for proper safety,
Hilda Baci in a previous clip, said that she will be using 250 bags of Basmati rice for her Guinness World Record attempt at the largest pot of Jollof rice.
In the latest video, Hilda Baci said that she will be given free food to everyone that attended the “World largest pot of jollof rice.”
She wrote; “The love has been overwhelming ❤️ So many of you registered to be part of this historic moment, and our first venue couldn’t contain the energy! 🌍🔥 We’re moving to a bigger space so EVERYONE can experience this celebration with me.

She added; “At 4am this morning our pot was safely transported from gbagada where it was fabricated to @ekohotels Eko hotel where the event is taking place I’m still pinching myself this is actually happening in less than 24hrs.”
