Reality TV star and actress Erica Nlewedim has continued to spark discussions about her alleged inability to speak her native Igbo language fluently.
Entertainment Region previously reported that Erica faced heavy criticism on social media over her use of Igbo. This came after a video surfaced online showing the reality star with some friends during an outing.
The short clip showed Erica struggling to speak Igbo while those around her corrected her pronunciation. This generated several negative reactions particularly from Igbo natives.
Erica, who felt attacked, however reacted by accusing Igbos of hating their own daughter.
Few hours after the online battle, netizens dug up a throwback interview clip she had with BBC Igbo, where she was seen introducing herself and sharing details about her background in fluent Igbo language.
Fans and netizens who came across the old footage began to question Erica’s behavior in the controversial clip that has sparked widespread discussion.
