Reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Ruth Akpan, popularly known as Rhuthee, has taken to social media to celebrate her daughter’s 16th birthday and high school graduation, both of which fall on the same day.
The proud single mother shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, reflecting on her journey raising her daughter alone and the immense pride she feels watching her grow into a strong young woman.
She wrote;
“My baby is 16 today and she’s graduating high school.❤️
I don’t even know where to start. I look at you, and I still see that tiny girl who used to fall asleep on my chest… and now you’re walking across that stage, strong, brilliant, and becoming everything I prayed you’d be and even more.
Raising you as a single mom wasn’t always easy, but you gave me more reasons to keep going than I could ever count. Every sacrifice, every long night, every tear… it was worth it. Watching you grow into a kind, wise, and fierce young woman has been the greatest privilege of my life.
Happy 16th birthday, my sunshine.
You’re graduating today, but baby, you’re only just beginning.
I raised you to be better, stronger, and braver than me and I see that happening right before my eyes.
