Popular activist Verydarkman has fired back at critics, firmly stating that he has never received a dime from DMW singer Davido.
Taking to his Instagram page, he dismissed claims that Davido was financially backing him. According to Verydarkman, many of the things people assume Davido did for him were, in fact, self-funded and handled independently.
He pointed out that he personally covered the cost of flying himself to Lagos and paid for his own accommodation, contrary to public belief that Davido handled it.
Verydarkman emphasized that neither Davido nor his team has ever given him any money.
In his words; “Anytime I talk about Davido people go say after all Davido has done for you. Davido flew you to Lagos. Davido has contributed to your NGO. The time I go to Lagos to go see Davido, na me pay my flight ticket. The hotel wey dey say Davido lodge me, na me pay for the hotel. But for entertainment purpose, we just leave am like that….”
Speaking further, activist VeryDarkMan said that he is nobody’s boy while stressing that if any of Davido, Burna Boy or Wizkid messed up, he would blast them on social media.
He also stressed that even if his close friend Kokopee, or his biological brother did anything wrong, he would drag them on social media and concluded that he is full of pride and egoistic in nature.

He added; “THEM DON SEE HE GIVE ME PR 😂 WATIN I DEY SELL WHEN I NEED PR? Do I sing? Do I act? Do I do adverts? wtf do you mean by PR?”
