Popular Nigerian man of God, pastor Odekunle Epaphras recently gets social media abuzz following a new video of him preaching to his congregation that surfaced online.
In the clip making the rounds online, pastor Odekunle asserted that Eid-Il-Kabir famously known as Ileya belongs to Christians and not to muslims.
Speaking further in the video, the pastor said that Christians are the one supposed to be killing and not the muslims and even went ahead to disclose Bible verse that narrated the Ileya story.
The pastor said God told Abraham to offer his son Isaac as a burnt offering on Mount Moriah. Even though it was painful and confusing, Abraham obeyed, trusting that God had a purpose. Just as he was about to kill Isaac, God stopped him and provided a ram to sacrifice instead. This event showed Abraham’s deep faith and became a powerful symbol of obedience and divine provision.
He speaks on how Abraham and Sarah gives birth to Isaac at old age. He said that after Isaac, Abraham also had Ismaheel. Pastor Adekunle added that christians have the right to eat Sallah meat.

We do not differentiate and choose which of the prophets we will honor and say we won’t honor another prophet. No one is also stopping you from celebrating Eid if you believe in it.
