The Nigerian entertainment industry is still mourning the tragic loss of skitmaker Sanku Olaniyi, popularly known as Mrsankucomedy, who died in a fatal car accident on Monday, September 1, 2025.
Barely hours after news of his death was confirmed, another video of the comedian resurfaced online, deepening the grief of fans.
In the viral clip, Sanku was seen with friends stranded by the roadside after what appeared to be an earlier accident involving the same Lexus SUV that would eventually claim his life.
The caption read: “This was us escaping accident 2 weeks ago.”
Sanku launched his comedy career in 2021 but shot to fame in 2024 after a freestyle skit went viral, amassing over 70,000 views.
His witty delivery, distinct style, and relatable humor quickly won him a loyal following on TikTok and Instagram. Sadly, just as his career was beginning to flourish, tragedy struck.
