The inquest launched by the Lagos State Government to investigate the controversial death of musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has concluded with a recommendation to prosecute the unlicensed nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, who treated the 26-year-old in his final moments.
The Coroner, Magistrate Adedayo Shotobi, highlighted the bullying and harassment Mohbad endured from his former promoter, Naira Marley, and an associate, Sam Larry, but ruled that there was no direct connection between them and his immediate death.
The court also acknowledged the cultural factors that influenced the deceased’s father to conduct a “hasty” and “undignified” burial. However, it stressed that he should have followed the proper legal and medical procedures, including obtaining a death certificate and conducting an autopsy, given the sudden nature of the young artist’s passing.
The court also found that the musician’s wife should have ensured he received proper medical care after sustaining an injury just days before his death and should have spoken out against the father’s poor handling of his remains.
After hearing testimony from nineteen witnesses over the nearly two-year-long inquest, the court concluded that Mohbad experienced turbulent times leading up to his death and was failed by multiple parties, including his family, public institutions, and the music industry.

princenedu_ : Based on recent videos by the alleged driver, best friend, and the female bestie to late Mohbad, it’s logically clear to say that Mohbad was usually under the influence of hard-substances(drugs) and therefore possibly caused his own injuries when he smashed the door glass to crumbs. He might have also been allergic to the composition of aftercare or the components of his intoxication was contradictory to the medications he was prescribed to take( during his treatment). In a nutshell sadly Mohbad might have died from his own errors/carelessness. I do not believed he was killed directly by anyone in particular as the case may be. Those who bullied Mohbad may have caused a psychological response which made him always wanting to be subsequently taking hard drugs to enable improve improve his mental boldness to be able to defensively face any potential threat/ attack by his bullies. I think in my opinion that all his bullies should still be rearrested and rearranged in court and be jailed for their actions which contributed to the psychotic tendencies of Mohbad being mentally disturbed and forced into mentally involuntary torture and phobia.
