Mr. Istijabah, a senior figure in the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), has publicly addressed Yoruba actress Aisha Lawal following controversial remarks he made earlier.
As reported by Scoopnaija, Istijabah had previously accused the union’s president, Musiliu Akinsanya (popularly known as MC Oluomo), of mismanaging union funds. He alleged that MC Oluomo lavishly spent the organization’s resources on Nollywood actresses, pushing many union members into financial distress.
In the midst of those accusations, Istijabah mentioned that actress Aisha Lawal had received a Toyota Venza, allegedly funded by the union during one of these spending sprees.
However, in a recent video, Istijabah extended an apology to Aisha Lawal, clarifying that there had been a misunderstanding and that his earlier comments were not intended to target her specifically. He emphasized that the issue has been resolved privately among the parties involved.
To show goodwill and make amends, Istijabah hinted at plans to gift Aisha Lawal a new Toyota Venza as a gesture of reconciliation.
