Popular Nigerian activist VeryDarkMan, also known as VDM, declared in a video shared on his official Instagram page that he would fiercely call out Davido and Cubana Chief Priest if they choose to campaign for President Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
This statement comes in response to a viral clip that sparked online outrage, showing Davido introducing his team — including Cubana Chief Priest, Ubi Franklin, Lati DMW, and others — to the president at his office in Abuja.
Reacting to backlash from netizens who accused him of staying silent because it involved Davido as he would have sent a ring light if it was Wizkid or Burnaboy, VDM says he has no issue with anyone choosing to vote or support anybody.
However, he noted that he would have problems with Davido, Cubana Chief Priest and others if they use their platforms to campaign for politicians come 2027 after collecting money from the politicians then ended up deceiving fans online with their influence via advertising for politicians.
He said in part; “if you want to support Tinubu come 2027, that is your business. If you want to support any party that’s your business. So if you dey talk say make I set camera because of Chief Priest and Davido, I ain’t gat that time, but where me and them go get problem na when 2027 make them campaign for anybody. They no get that right. Na where we go get problem be that…”
