The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the death of Oladele Femi, the landlord accused of masterminding the brutal killing of two students from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA).
Femi, popularly known as “Tallex,” reportedly died in the hospital after falling ill under police custody. His death was confirmed on Saturday by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Olushola Ayanlade.
“Yes, he is dead. He had been under medical supervision since his arrest and had been in and out of the hospital. He passed away yesterday,” Ayanlade told journalists.
The late landlord was a key figure in the investigation into the disappearance and murder of two AAUA students, John Abba and his female friend, Eloho Okah, who went missing on June 20, 2025.
Police reports indicate that Femi, who was Abba’s landlord, confessed to planning their abduction and subsequent murder. While Okah’s decomposing body has been recovered, the search for Abba’s remains is still ongoing.
In a new development, DSP Olushola Ayanlade disclosed that two more suspects, identified as Kola and Michael, have been arrested for allegedly withdrawing ₦800,000 from Abba’s bank account while the victims were in captivity. Investigations showed that the funds were transferred during the period they were missing.
Police also confirmed that a Lexus RX 350 SUV belonging to the late Abba was recovered from one of the suspects.
