The “First Time in America” singer also quoted a verse from the Holy Quran addressing the dangers of fake news and the importance of verification.
The verse cautions against acting on unverified information, warning that it could lead to harming innocent people unknowingly and result in deep regret.
He tweeted; “O believers, if an evildoer brings you any news, verify “it’ so you do not harm people unknowingly, becoming regretful for what you have done. (Quran 49:6).”
