A Nigerian man has sparked widespread reactions online after his surprising decision during a visit to his fiancée’s parents.
In a viral tweet that has gained massive attention on X (formerly Twitter), he revealed that he called off the wedding after seeing his fiancée’s father washing plates.
Ahead of their wedding, the Nigerian man paid a visit to his fiancée’s parents’ home, but what he observed led him to call off the marriage.
During the visit, he noticed his fiancée’s father washing plates, which was only the beginning. Moments later, he overheard his prospective mother-in-law shouting at her husband to hurry up and finish the task.
An X user identified as Habibty while sharing the tweet wrote, “A guy cancelled hsi wedding just because he visited the girl’s parents and saw her father washing plates and the mother was even shouting at him to hurry up and finish.”
Reacting to the development, Daddy Freeze shared that he too would have called off the wedding if he were in the man’s position.
