A new clip of northern Nigerian youths celebrating the death of former president Muhammadu Buhari recently surfaced online, sparking widespread reactions among online users.

Recall that President Buhari passed away at the age of 82 at a London clinic, United Kingdom, yesterday, July 13th, 2025.

However, while many have taken to social media to mourn the death of Buhari, it is contrary for some Nigerians.

In a new clip making the rounds, Nigerian northerners troop to the streets to jubilate following the death of former president Buhari.

Some of the northerners were spotted shirtless as they jumped from one street to another to celebrate the death of Buhari.

They could be heard excitedly saying “Buhari, yamutu,” meaning “Buhari is dead”. Another northerner  accompanied his video with the caption, “Buhari, ya mutu, zura fir auna, Zamani.”
