Popular Nigerian singer, Reekado Banks, has taken to social media to celebrate his colleague Wizkid as he clocks 35-year-old.

Today, July 16th, 2025, is World Wizkid Day, and by extension, fans and celebrities have taken to social media to celebrate the singer’s new age.

Also, famous Mavin signee, Reekado Banks, who recently released a new album, took to his official Instagram page to celebrate the Grammy Award winner.

This is coming days after Reekado Banks, during an interview, disclosed to all and sundry that Wizkid has apologized to him for calling him a fool.

Note that in October 2020, during the viral #EndSars Protest, Reekado Banks in a tweet, makes an attempt to drop a new song featuring Wizkid.

He tweeted, “Out of control, gbedu must drop. This one with my brother @wizkidayo “OMO OLOMO” midnight dropping Fire Still on the matter !!! #EndSWAT #EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutality.”

However, this development did not sit well with Wizkid, who reacted by calling Reekado Banks a fool for trying to drop a song at that moment of the EndSARS movement.

Wizkid, who had earlier postponed the release of his album, “Made In Lagos” tweeted; ““Delete this dude ! Can’t believe you’re even doing this at a time like this. Old song ! #endsars fool!”

In a video shared on his Instagram page today, Reekado Banks celebrated Wizkid’s birthday and posted a clip of the Grammy Award winner visiting him at his restaurant. The two were seen having a conversation and hugging each other, showing that they are now on good terms.

Reekado Banks accompanied the video with the caption; “Happy birthday Eyan mi , my Bro Bro, Love and respect forever. @wizkidayo.”
