Popular Nigerian activist Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, claps back in a new clip, accusing Portable of receiving payment to support President Tinubu amid economic hardship.
Recall that it all began on Tuesday, July 15th, 2025, when VDM, during the burial of former President Buhari, publicly called out the current president, Tinubu, claiming that many Nigerians would have preferred Tinubu to die instead of Buhari. The activist argued that the country’s economy has worsened under Tinubu’s leadership.
In the clip, VDM reminded Tinubu that death is inevitable, using Buhari’s passing as an example, and urged him to tackle the nation’s pressing issues, especially insecurity.
This development did not go down well with Portable, as he accused activist VDM of doing too much. He stressed that the activist was nobody who used to drink sachet water before and now, he drinks table water, has cars, and lives in a palatial room.
Portable said; “Verydarkman, it won’t be well with you. Before, you used to drink sachet water, but since Tinubu came in, you’re now drinking bottled water. That shows he is working as a president.”
Clapping back at Portable in a new video on Instagram, VDM shares an old clip that shows the moment the singer was caught stealing a Keke Napep back in the year 2020.
Describing Portable as an unfortunate fellow, VDM claimed that back in 2020, he already owned cars and a Keke Napep, unlike Portable, whom he accused of stealing one.
He went on to say that the Nigerian government does not value its citizens, which is why people like Portable are paid to defend them online and convince young people to vote for them.
VeryDarkMan added that he called out President Tinubu because of the severe hardship Nigerians are facing, stressing that although he has been offered billions of naira, he has refused to accept it because he will not defend nonsense.
Sharing the video, VDM accompanied it with the caption; I no blame you at all.”
