A well-known Nigerian lawyer, Chukwudi Iwuchukwu, has outlined the entitlements that former President Buhari’s family will receive under Nigerian law following his passing.
Despite many politicians leaving behind billions or even trillions of naira, their families continue to receive benefits from the Nigerian state after their death.
Taking to his official page on Facebook, lawyer Chukwudi Iwuchukwu, listed what the late president Buhari’s family will receive every year till eternity, a perfect definition of generational wealth.
He wrote; “After the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, his family will receive money and other benefits from the federal government, as allowed by Nigerian law.
Here’s what they’ll get:
Money Payments: ₦350,000 every month for his wife’s upkeep;
N250,000 every 3 months to support the children’s education and family needs; and another ₦250,000 every 3 months as yearly allowance.
Other Benefits: Free medical treatment in Nigeria and abroad; 3 government cars, changed every 4 years; a fully furnished 5-bedroom house anywhere in Nigeria.
4 security officers (Police and DSS); paid vacation every year;
Free staff for house and office work; and 1 free government phone line.
These benefits are legal and will continue unless the wife remarries.”

_miss_deo : Just imagine!!! That’s why all of them wanna die in service!!! How will Nigeria be great bayii😢😢😢.
yeye_moradeyo : So Buhari as a Muslim and Hausa man never had two wives? Or the lady sitting next to him is his jnr wife or daughter? With the inflation in Nigeria, the 350k has tripled trust me. So we will even look after his matured, grown children or school age children? Just for clarity. The best business in Nigeria is politics…generational enjoyment till eternity 🤷🏽♀️😂😂😂😂😂 And some people were cursing baba Bubu when he’s worked for his generation yet unborn mtchew dey play 😂😂😂.
olushola_aliu : But wait my question is where are the children of former 1st lady when he was head of state during military I meant his first Lady children then although the woman was dead but she has 4 or 5 children.
