Popular Nigerian singer Wande Coal has started making headlines as he lights up Gateway Games 2024 closing ceremony with an electrifying performance.
President Bola Tinubu officially opened the 22nd National Sports Festival in Ogun State on May 18. Team Delta emerged as the overall winner, claiming 109 gold, 75 silver, and 87 bronze medals.
Team Bayelsa finished second, while host state Ogun came third. Enugu State has been announced as the host for the 2025 Gateway Games.
However, the closing ceremony of Gateway Games 2024 at MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta has started making headlines following performances from Wande Coal, K1 De Ultimate and singer Waje. Yesterday, May 29th 2025 was a combined ceremony as it was also the birthday of Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun.
