One of the trending throwback moments on our table today involves South Africa’s President, Cyril Ramaphosa, and a now-viral clip from 2023 that has resurfaced online.
In the video, President Ramaphosa was seen seemingly sneaking a glance at the newly appointed Minister of Transport, Sindisiwe Chikunga, during her swearing-in ceremony.
The event took place in Cape Town, where Chikunga—dressed in an olive-green, loose-fitting gown—walked confidently to the front after being announced by the Chief Justice. Despite the outfit, her pronounced backside remained noticeable.
Seated at the front alongside Vice President Paul Mashatile, Ramaphosa appeared visibly distracted as Chikunga passed by, with cameras capturing the exact moment he glanced at her from behind.
The clip has since gone viral, with social media users jokingly claiming the president confirmed that “yansh” is truly all a man needs to survive.
