Popular Nigerian socialite, Yhemolee, has broken his silence as he disclosed why he deleted all his romantic and wedding pictures with his wife, Thayour.
The couple, who tied the knot less than a year ago, sparked intense online speculation after Yhemolee shared cryptic posts hinting at emotional turmoil.
In one message, Yhemolee warned men against sacrificing themselves for women, saying, “Don’t die for any woman, na you go lose.” In another, he reflected on the strength found in solitude, writing, “Isolation may seem like punishment at first, but something powerful happens in the silence.”
The posts quickly went viral, with many interpreting them as subtle signs of a marital crisis. However, in a fresh statement on Thursday, Yhemolee dismissed the rumours and took a jab at what he called “online in-laws” eager for drama.
“I wasn’t expecting any less from them. As dem no see food chop since from me, them go cook werey chop for themselves,” he said, dismissing the public’s interest in his personal life.
He continued by urging men to prioritise their wellbeing, using the Kemi Adetiba’s Netflix movie; To Kill A Monkey (TKAM) as an example of his narration.
“All the men for TKAM die oh. If you look am well, all the women remain alive,” he added.
Referencing a viral video of a man emotionally breaking down over his wife’s actions, Yhemolee criticized the insensitive reactions it sparked online, stating: “You need to see the comments of the daughters of Jezebel. Hence, my outrage. Shalom.”
“Agenda must agend. So even if I get crisis na, people wey never chop since yesterday I go come tell? My family dey go enjoy life like this. Make una dey there dey cry for Ijegun,” she added.
