Nigerian singer John Odafe Asiemo, popularly known as Daddy Showkey, has revealed how Wizkid introduced him to Instagram and even created an account for him.
Daddy Showkey, who hails from Delta State, shared this story during a phone conversation with singer Maleek Berry.
Referring to Wizkid by his real name, Ayo, Daddy Showkey explained that the “Essence” crooner brought him into the social media space, as he knew nothing about Instagram when he first rose to fame.
He recalled being at Wizkid’s house and wondering how people knew his whereabouts. Wizkid then told him he had posted him on Instagram—an app Daddy Showkey had never heard of, let alone used.
He said Wizkid took his phone, introduced him to Instagram, and opened an account for him. He added that Kcee later taught him how to use the platform, and Pasuma eventually informed him when he got verified.
