The ongoing quest for justice in the death of Nigerian singer Mohbad has taken a dramatic turn following the release of an audio clip by controversial critic, VeryDarkMan.

Mohbad, who passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27, left a void in the Nigerian music scene. Recently, VeryDarkMan reignited public interest in the case by interviewing the late singer’s family, close associates, and wife, Wunmi.

In the newly surfaced 2-minute-40-second audio, Mohbad is heard accusing someone he shares an iCloud account with of attempting to harm him.

In the audio, the late singer opens up about his struggles, revealing that his life had been in turmoil since his release from NDLEA custody.

“You think I will forget everything. I know you won’t say anything. You know how to go and call my mum to make her sad,” he said emotionally.

Mohbad goes on to accuse the unnamed individual of tampering with his WhatsApp and forcing him to wear an outfit he didn’t like. He also issued a chilling warning, stating that if anything were to happen to him, the person in question should be held responsible.

While the audio has since gone viral, the identity of the individual Mohbad referred to was not revealed. However, some reports have speculated that he may have been referring to his wife, Wunmi.
