Revenue from the recently concluded Ojude Oba 2025 festival has stirred widespread reactions online after figures showed the event generated billions of naira.

In an interview with Obi Asika, Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), key organiser Mr. Steeze described this year’s festival as the most elaborate yet, drawing a crowd far beyond its capacity.

Emphasizing the event’s scale and success, Mr. Steeze disclosed that over ₦2 billion was made during the festivities. He also noted that CNN reported an estimated $10 million (about ₦15 billion) in revenue was generated across Ijebu during the festival period.

Despite having previously worked with Airtel, Mr. Steeze revealed that he declined several endorsement deals this year to give other families a chance to benefit from sponsorship opportunities.

“A lot of the endorsements were directed at me, but I redirected them to other families to ensure inclusivity,” he said.

The Ojude Oba 2025 festival, held on June 8, attracted prominent figures, including Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and the Minister of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa.
